The Tudors stand on the threshold between the medieval and modern world which is why we find them so fascinating.

The lives and stories of Henry VIII, Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn continue to intrigue us 500 years later.

If you found yourself in the Tudor court of the sixteenth century, what would your life be like?

Imagine if you were a lady in waiting to the queen, a maid to a noblewoman or a court fool to the king...

How and why I started writing Tudor historical fiction:

I have a degree in history and a love of research so writing historical fiction had a natural attraction for me. I was drawn to the Tudor period because it is such an interesting time and it features some wonderful personalities.

In June 2021 I wrote my first short story called "The Anne Gallant." This was a warship which Henry VIII named after Anne Boleyn. I followed this with my first historical novel "The Tudor Maid" about the fictional Margery Hallows who served three queens as a seamstress:

The year is 1522 and King Henry VIII has been married to Queen Catherine of Aragon for thirteen years. But they have no son. The Anne Boleyn arrives at the royal court from France accompanied by her maid Margery Hallows. Her remarkable gifts make her the most desirable lady at court. And her extraordinary dresses make her the mirror of fashion. “The Tudor Maid” tells the story of the fascinating woman who captured the heart of a king through the eyes of her seamstress.

Available as an ebook and paperback on Amazon.
